I was playing around with Picnik today and I made this little card!  I’ve been thinking about doing digital collage style cards to add to my Etsy, what do you think of it?  I’m looking for some feedback!  Also, if you print photo cards/postcards, do you print them from home or do you get them from a printers?  I don’t have a nice printer so I’m looking for a good printer online until I can get a nicer printer for the house.  Who have you used before?  Just popping in to say hello and I hope everyone is having a good weekend!  Tucker and I are going to go to the Magic Bus Cafe in a little bit and I can’t wait for a veggie chili dog!  If you live in or near Minneapolis-I HIGHLY recommend you checking them out.  Cathy is an awesome lady and the dogs are ridiculously delicious!

On Wednesday night my friends and I got together to do some crafting, eating, talking, laughing, and cooing at babies (there were 2 babies this time!)  We had a lot of fun sharing ideas and inspiration and techniques with one another and I can’t wait to do it again.  There was learning how to put in elastic for a skirt

And discussions on blogging ideas and picture editing programs

Here are some links to a few of these things that I learned last night:

Over at Blue Eyed Freckle there is a great tutorial on how to put the elastic into a skirt.  The pictures are good and the results are adorable!

Also over here at Made is a great overall skirt tutorial.  Towards the bottom of the great photos are step by step instructions for the elastic but the whole tutorial is great!

My friend A informed me of this great photo editing software Lightroom by Adobe.  It is a tad on the expensive side but I could see wanting to buy it at some point in the near future.  There seems to be a lot more control with the photos and you can change a bunch of little things to tweak it just the way you want.  I think I like the control aspect of it the most.  Until then,  I still like to use Picnik.  If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a great site where you can upload your photos and edit them.  Well, that was a very informative craft Wednesday!  Do you get together for crafty nights?  What kinds of things do you bring/like to learn?
