I wonder what I should do with these little doodles…..it’s hard to think of different ways to utilize your pieces of work isn’t it? Any ideas?

Here are some things I’ve had my hand in lately that I’m trying to work out the kinks on/make better. Sometimes it’s hard when you feel like you’ve spent most of your day working on a craft project or new idea and then you just think of ways to make it better. On the other hand, it’s good to know that you can continually grow and get better. Does that ever happen to you? How do you stay motivated when you’re just working on prototypes? Really, when it comes down to it, we do it for the love of craft anyway! Hope you’re having a great St. Patrick’s Day!
I recently acquired Adobe Illustrator because I wanted to start doing some pdf patterns and digital illustrations and what-nots, so I was playing around with it last night for the first time. Ok, so it was a little challenging at first, I won’t lie, but once I got the hang of it (a little) it was so much fun! This is my first drawing ever in illustrator and I can’t wait to do more things. Have you tried using an illustration program? What do you think?
No matter how busy my week is I love to doodle. It’s something that doesn’t take a lot of energy and is still a great way to get the creative juices flowing when you are just bushed. I’m going to start doing a post each week of a page of doodles from my work week. If you are anything like me, I also thought for the longest time that I couldn’t draw to save my life. Now, I don’t think I’m a fantastic visual artist, but doodling like this has given me the confidence in being able to create cute little drawings that I am happy with. I hope you enjoy them. Click on the photo to enlarge it and take a gander at my page more closely. I hope this post inspires you to just pick up a pen and coloring pencils even on the days when you feel like you couldn’t possibly do anything crafty or creative.
